My babe, Lisha, invited me to her sister's engagement on last Saturday. Could make it finally after my Ipoh trip with the family was cancelled at the last minute.
Was happy to be there because it was my first time experiencing a very typical type of an Indian engagement. Her wedding is soon to arrive. Can't wait for it either :)Plus getting to meet some of my 'long lost' classmates was just exciting. Great catch up with them and chatted all night cause everyone is heading to Uni already at the end of this month. Missed them so much!
My outfit for the night =)
Singlet :KitschenTight bodycon skirt :Cotton On
Clincher :Acewin
I arrived there kinda late that day cause I was waiting for Thipa's mom to get ready. I couldn't find a proper place to sit as well.
But basically, during an Indian engagement, the couple would exchange rings together and get their blessings from their parents. I'm not sure if it's correct if I called them monk, but these monks in front will perform some prayers and then blessed the newly engaged couple. The guest would sort of be their witness in this engagement.
Since it was held in the hall right beside the temple, so vegetarian food was served instead of all those meat based food.
The food was served in array of buffet style. Too bad I didn't get to try those food cause I told you, I was talking non stop. Lol.
What amazed me truly was, how the Indians are being so respectful towards their own culture. When taking their food, all of them queued up in a long straight line without much hesitation. It's not like some other people who are not respectful enough and they will just pushed and squeezed everywhere to fight for food. My friend told me these culture has been long practised since last time. It's like a tradition.
Kinda wasted and sad also cause I couldn't get the chance to take pictures with the couple on the stage up there. Too many people up there who went congratulating the newly engaged couple.
I've totally forgotten what is this thing called.
But it was given to those Indian guest who attend on that day.
Yeah! My favourite picture with Thipa that day :D

With Kavitra. So nice meeting her again after so long.
With the pretty and tall Pyarri. She looked good on her Sari that day. Loved her bangles a lot.
Arrived home at about 11.30pm after having supper with the new found friend. Lol. Then continue to party on later with another gang. I had a really wonderful time.
Hope everyone does :)
Goodbye.
