My First Baking Experience

Hello people, this post is going to be random. It's about my first baking experience. Just the thought of sharing and well, keeping it as a memory. Cause this is my first time baking without the help of anyone. But haha, my mom was there to guide me a little on the used of the appliances because I really suck at fixing stuff and moreover, my measurements were terrible, not accurate enough but I'm glad that it turned out well at the end :) So, phewww...

The picture above is the mixing of butter and sugar together. The butter I used was Buttercup brand.

Measuring the quantity of the flours. Mom helped me with these. She also thought me how to fold the flours into the the mixed ingredients. Folding the flours into the mixed ingredients is considered one of the most important step.

And it is ready to be bake! I was so excited but at the same time quite nervous with the outcome.

At last, it turned out quite well but I noticed that the temperature and time should be level down. The cake looked quite dark in the above but the taste was just alright. Not too sweet, just the right amount of taste.

I supposed it was quite a success. Yeah!! The relatives and mommy was quite impressed and they even asked me to bake another time. LOL.
FYI, I got the recipes from kuali.com.my by Amy Beh.

I guess baking is the craze at the moment. There's more to come. I'll continue to share it here in my blog.

Bye..

Nicole's Small Farewell

Hello all. I know I've been missing in action for quite some time already. So many changes had been made including the upgrade of blogger to a whole new look. Guess I've not been blogging for ages. I will keep updating as much as I can. But sometimes I feel like I'm totally lack of inspiration! haha..

So this post will be the babe's mini farewell.Sort of. We just had a short outing, going for movies together, chatting, and brought her for dinner before sending her off to KL in the airport.

There was nothing to shop in Quuensbay the other day. All of us felt bored but thank god we settled down for a movie. It was What's your number by Anna Farris and the drop dead charming Mr Chris Evans.

After movie, we went over to J Co for some froyo. It was quite a long time ago since I last had J Co's yogurt cause most of the time I had Tutti Fruitti which was practically nearer to my place.

Talked of having steamboat that day so we decided to try it at La Mei Zi. The one at Krystal Point since it was nearer to the airport. And you know, how everyone's saying that La Mei Zi was so good this and that and so we gave it a taste. But all of us felt that it was okay only, maybe the other branch at Nagore Road would be better. Or it would be the same only and we still have our preference for Golden Gate Steamboat or Hooi Kee Steamboat at the mainland or you know the best would be home cooked steamboat. Lol.. Nothing beats that, I suppose.

We ordered the set one which was for 3 to 4 pax. The dishes was not big, all came in at small portion, just enough for 3 to 4 people. And they also prepared 1 bowl of bihun, 1 bowl of rice and 1 instant noodles. It's only RM 38 for this set.

As usual two sides of soups. One is the classic chicken flavor and the other one is the spicy tom yam. And i really meant it, the tom yam was real spicy. Cousin could not even finish his bowl of rice when he filled his rice with the tom yam soup. haha..

After dinner, quickly rushed her to the airport. Waited for her to check in and me, Jenny and the cousin got ourselves McD's sundae cone since all of us were craving for it.

Took some pictures before she went in to the departure hall and I looked fucking ugly in those two pictures above so please ignore my face. As usual, the babe was reluctant to go back and I missed her real bad. Gotta wait for a month plus for her next trip to Penang.

That's it for today. Hope everyone had a wonderful time :)

Wilson's 22nd birthday

Hi everyone, as I've promised I will come out with a blog post this week. So here it is. I'm back!

Well, this post is about Wilson's 22nd birthday( the title says it all!). Helped him to celebrate at Delicious, Straits Quay. I've been dying to go on a try at Delicious after receiving plenty of good feed backs from my fellow friends regarding this restaurant.

The whole ambiance was perfectly decorated with a contemporary concept, suitable for dining at any affair be it with your family or friends. It was kinda packed that day but the manager on duty was quick to assist us to our table. Very friendly indeed and the service was not too slow either.

My iced peach tea.
It also comes with a small lil jar of sugar water for you to pour into the peach tea.

Ordered this homemade pesto spagetthini. It was simply delicious! (haha rhymes with the restaurant name as well)

Cousin order smoked salmon spaghetti while Jenny ordered seafood spaghetti. Her's were a lil disappointing as it was not up to the taste she wanted but the prawns and squids were big and
fresh.

After our meals, we paved in for some sinful dessert.

Definitely wanting more as it was simply yummy! Me and Jenny shared banoffe pie together. The banoffe pie was topped with creamy white cream on top and stuffed with banana and caramel. Look at the caramel flowing out from the pie!

Cousin's cheese cake. It was topped with caramel and macadamia nuts.

Blur picture of Jenny! hehe

Me & Jenny

Took lotsa pictures after finished eating. So bare with our "vainess" later ;p

Emptied our plates in a very clean manner. Lol.

Me & the birthday boy :)

Jenny & Wilson.

Epic Princess! how cool was that?

After eating and done camwhoring, we walked around the place as the weather was cooling that night. Love the atmosphere a lot where people everywhere are chilling and relaxing.

Bloated!

Couldn't go for second round as planned earlier. Or else I'd looked like a giant. ooopppss~

Once again, happy birthday cousin. Hope you had good time!
That's all for now. Will be back for more :)

Hello all, I thought I'd spare some time to blog this week but it turns out that my camera USB port is not with me. And after that, I thought I'd upload the pictures taken using phone but it turns out that the USB is fucking not with me.arrggghhhh... so mad at myself.

I do feel guilty for not blogging but I can only blame myself for that. Super duper busy girl. No pictures would mean that my blog could somehow die off like that. It's gonna be dead plain.

So exactly what's going on with my life?

It's been like a roller coaster ride. I've done with my first semester exams. Results were okay but still have to improve on it. I've also been shouted regularly by some bastard guys which leaves me feeling annoyed and mad! Imagine being shouted in the early morning by some real fucktards?!

And also my mixed up feeling and emotions towards relationships. I hate those feeling a lot.The past four years memories always haunts me when I finally manage to step forward and take up the courage.

Also I tend to have a bad habit of spending money like flowing waters. It's my shopping obssesion and I'm still figuring out how to own money now.

Till then, goodbye <3. Have a good day everyone.

Postive thinkings, please...

Hello and greetings to all. It's a Sunday and I feel good, doing things in a laze, no rush, just enjoying food and feeling the hot blazing sun with blowing winds while blogging near the balcony in my house.

My mood brightens up knowing that tomorrow will be a holiday which means no school and ahhh, you know how I just love holidays and breaks. Holidays would mean shopping again. *evil laughs*

So what am I up to for these past few weeks?

1) Going to school and waking up that early.
2) Shop like a mad girl, exceeding my limits. I've set my own principles, buy what you love, then you'll have no regrets. Okay seriously, no regrets but you'll smile all day to yourself :)
3) Trying to enjoy life.
4) Catching up with friends.
5) Keep moving on, forget about the past, those ugly memories.
6) Still trying to figure my aim for life.

School has been okay but my feelings are rather numb about the fact that I actually had to endure my own dislike and embarrassment of going back to school instead of college. There had been ups and downs but I'm glad that my friends are still hanging on with me. It's challenging for now, I'm still trying to adapt to the whole new environment of being a Pre-U student and thinking of what I really want in the future. Of course I hope there'll be no regrets as well.

I'm proud of how I could manage to handle those pressure and emotional setbacks all myself. I made the first move almost all the time, I hate it at first, but I try to convince myself that this is what I'm suppose to do in order to cheer up and being normal. The whole thing of socialising and start getting to use to new people are rather tough actually. If you voice out, then people will only understand you. I believe in that.

Cant wait till actually all these unhappy episodes of life would faster end so I can proceed with what I really want to do.

Amidst all those unhappy things that are struck upon me, what really brightens me up would be the amount of shopping I've done! Shopping makes me happy. It's like my own therapy of healing sadness, hahaha you can try that if you want but do not, I repeat DO NOT, exceed your limits of spending, just like what I did, because I over spent beyond my budget. That's a bad thing, you know? And then you will have the trouble of finding back your money. LOL.

And also, buy those stuff that you love a lot so that you wont have regrets. That will be my shopping principles from now on. I used to have the thinking last time that it's better to save up buying those expensive stuff. In the end, I felt like nothing at all, not enjoying a single bit of shopping but now, it's different. Every time I come back from shopping, I'd feel very good and productive.

I'm still in the midst of adapting to my whole new environment besides trying to figure out my aim of life. I do have aims but I'm really afraid of those results that is least expected. Sometimes, I feel like I've put too much pressure on myself, but again, without those pressure and pushing myself hard, I find it extremely tough to get myself place competitively. I find it tough to define perfection. I also have this habit of being not contented and happy about myself. I need some confidence to be normal, and to actually tell myself that I'm born this way, so I should be thankful for what is blessed.

I've been missing lots of self healing time between me and God. I really should spend some time thinking of getting myself back and encouraging myself from time to time. I have weaknesses that should be left away and all I want is to feel happy, enjoying every detail of wonderful moments :)

Lisha's sister engagement

My babe, Lisha, invited me to her sister's engagement on last Saturday. Could make it finally after my Ipoh trip with the family was cancelled at the last minute.

Was happy to be there because it was my first time experiencing a very typical type of an Indian engagement. Her wedding is soon to arrive. Can't wait for it either :)

Plus getting to meet some of my 'long lost' classmates was just exciting. Great catch up with them and chatted all night cause everyone is heading to Uni already at the end of this month. Missed them so much!

My outfit for the night =)

Singlet :Kitschen

Tight bodycon skirt :Cotton On

Clincher :Acewin

I arrived there kinda late that day cause I was waiting for Thipa's mom to get ready. I couldn't find a proper place to sit as well.

But basically, during an Indian engagement, the couple would exchange rings together and get their blessings from their parents. I'm not sure if it's correct if I called them monk, but these monks in front will perform some prayers and then blessed the newly engaged couple. The guest would sort of be their witness in this engagement.

Since it was held in the hall right beside the temple, so vegetarian food was served instead of all those meat based food.

The food was served in array of buffet style. Too bad I didn't get to try those food cause I told you, I was talking non stop. Lol.

What amazed me truly was, how the Indians are being so respectful towards their own culture. When taking their food, all of them queued up in a long straight line without much hesitation. It's not like some other people who are not respectful enough and they will just pushed and squeezed everywhere to fight for food. My friend told me these culture has been long practised since last time. It's like a tradition.

Kinda wasted and sad also cause I couldn't get the chance to take pictures with the couple on the stage up there. Too many people up there who went congratulating the newly engaged couple.

I've totally forgotten what is this thing called.

But it was given to those Indian guest who attend on that day.

Yeah! My favourite picture with Thipa that day :D

With Kavitra. So nice meeting her again after so long.

With the pretty and tall Pyarri. She looked good on her Sari that day. Loved her bangles a lot.

Arrived home at about 11.30pm after having supper with the new found friend. Lol. Then continue to party on later with another gang. I had a really wonderful time.

Hope everyone does :)

Goodbye.
